Jeremy Daniel; Contradiktion is a punk band out of Phoenix Arizona that formed in 2006. With Billie Russell on guitar and vocals and Yvette Lopez on drums, they started out as a Two Piece and quickly recruited various bass players till they found Josh "oompa" Jamroz to become a permanent member.
Contradiktion played countless shows in Arizona at venues like Jugheads, The Phix, copper state tavern, phase54, exit 7, chasers and more. They made great friends with the local fans and bands ( Moovalya, Jack The Cat, the recovering creeps, the braskies) Also sharing the stage with national bands Star Fucking hipsters and Authority Zero. In 2010 Billie and Yvette decided to take contradiktion on the road to California. They landed in Orange county where they met who would become there new bass player (Lisa Bennett) and guitar (Matty P) Contradiktion frequently played local hot spots The DOLLHUT in Anaheim, Perks in Huntington Beach, Bull Bar In LBC and Malones in Santa Ana.
They played with Agent Orange in 2010 at the Can club located in Garden Grove and then with The Dickies in 2011. In 2012 Contradiktion moved back to Arizona and Enlisted long time producer and friend Jeremy Daniel to play bass. Jeremy Daniel is the owner of Cosmic Soup Recording in Glendale AZ where the 3 recorded their 2nd LP "Mishaps and relapse. Within 6 months they recorded contradiktion's 3rd full length album "Songs of misery". The 3 piece band went full force playing more shows than ever before in the blazing hot Arizona heat. In 2013 Yvette Lopez departed contradiktion and was replaced by Robert "Squiz" (2014-2015) and finally full time drummer Steven "meatbag" Lendrum (2015- current)
In July of 2015 contradiktion began work on their 4th LP and has released 2 singles " Ain't it funny" and " Back down the drain". Contradiktion is still kicking ass and still continues to release Good old Punk Rock almost 10 years later.
